SBA Sends Important Dates on End of EIDL Program
The COVID EIDL program, that has helped nearly 4 million small businesses survive, is officially winding down. On Wednesday, the SBA sent out key dates on the closing of the program, including the last day they'll accept increase requests. Here's the latest information, including what other SBA funding programs are available to apply for.
The Last Day for EIDL Increase Requests is May 6
According to the SBA email, the last day to apply for EIDL increases is Friday, May 6. As we've reported, there is very little EIDL funding left. If you are still trying to get in documents to the SBA to ask for additional EIDL funding, act now.

The Last Day to Access the EIDL Portal is May 16
The SBA also made it clear that access to the EIDL portal will end on May 16 as well. The current SBA EIDL portal was launched in April 2020 and is accessible here: https://covid19relief1.sba.gov/ This portal has copies of important borrower information, including the loan agreements and documents.
📌 Pro-tip: If you want to securely store your EIDL loan documents in the cloud before the SBA EIDL portal closes, you can add your documents on the Skip Business Profile page — https://helloskip.com/dashboard/business-profile — when you're logged in. At the bottom of the page, you can upload documents and view them on your Profile later.
The SBA Has Other Funding Options To Help Your Business Grow
The SBA has other funding programs that can help you fund and grow your business or side hustle. For example, there's the SBA microloan program for loans up to $50,000 and there's the SBA 7(a) program for working capital up to $5M.
