We’re excited to roll out an update to the Skip Instant Grants that makes entering easier, more predictable, and more engaging for everyone in the community.
Starting today, Instant Grants now follows a simpler and more open entry experience. Everyone enters during the same window, creating a shared moment ahead of each live drawing and making it clearer when — and how — to participate.
In 2025, Skip Instant Grants grew into a powerful weekly moment for the community, with over 100 live drawings, nearly 100,000 entrepreneurs participating, and 800+ grants awarded.
As we look ahead to 2026, today's updates lay the groundwork for an even more engaging and accessible Instant Grants experience — with more grants, more participation, and more motivation for entrepreneurs across the U.S. Skip has pioneered the live, instant grants experience built specifically for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
How Instant Grants Entry Now Works
For each Instant Grant Live drawing, entry opens 30 minutes before the live begins. During that window, you’ll be able to check in and officially enter the drawing. This single step completes your application and enters your business into the live draw.
If you’ve already expressed interest in an upcoming Instant Grant, we’ll send you a reminder when entry opens so you don’t miss the window. We recommend adding the drawing time to your calendar and keeping an eye on your email as the live approaches.
Once you’ve checked in during the entry window, you’re officially entered — even if you’re not able to watch the live drawing in real time.
What Happens During the Live Drawing
Every live drawing now includes everyone who entered during the check-in window. When a business is randomly selected, we’ll announce it live.
If your business is called, you’ll receive a notification and have 60 seconds to claim your grant — either as cash or credit — directly on the watch page. Being present live can help you claim quickly, but entry itself is not limited to those watching in real time.
This update keeps Instant Grants exciting and interactive, while also making participation more flexible for busy business owners.
What About New Notifications and Reminders
To help you stay in the loop, we send reminders when entry opens and notifications if your business is selected during the live drawing. Skip members will receive additional notification options, making it easier to catch the moment when it matters most, including notifications via push notification.
