How to Help Your Community For #GivingTuesdayNow
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving held on December 1 of every year; in 2019, it generated $2 billion dollars in a single day, in the US alone. In response to the crisis caused by COVID-19, #GivingTuesday has announced an additional day of giving to help nonprofits and social service organizations ride out the coronavirus crisis--today, May 5th, is #GivingTuesdayNow. For many organizations, donations will be matched today. We know times are tight right now, but if you have the resources to help others in your community, today is a great day to donate! We've collected a list of organizations with matching gift campaigns today below, organized by service area. We also encourage you to research local nonprofits in your area to see if they have matching donation programs. You can see a map of the impact of #GivingTuesdayNow all over the world here. Happy Giving!
