Can't Make EIDL Payments? Here's What You Can Do.

By now, nearly every COVID EIDL loan borrower has had to make their first payment back to the government. The problem is: Millions of businesses are still struggling and COVID EIDL monthly payments may be difficult to make. If you're having trouble paying your EIDL loan, are getting collection laters already, or want to lower your payments, here are your options.

SBA Now Offers "Hardship Accommodation Plans" For EIDL Borrowers

To help EIDL borrowers who are facing "hardship", the SBA has formalized an option to temporarily reduce EIDL payments. The option they've currently given is to pay 10% of your regular payment for up to 6 months.

EIDL Under $200,000: If your EIDL loan is equal to or under $200,000, read this post on how to request "Hardship Accommodation Plan" on your CAFS dashboard.

EIDL Above $200,000: If your EIDL loan is above $200,000 there is no automatic hardship accommodation request. To apply, contact the COVID-19 EIDL Servicing Center at 833-853-5638 or disastercustomerservice@sba.gov (and include “Hardship Accommodation Plan” in the subject line). You will be contacted by a loan specialist regarding requirements.
